My name is Michael Shook

and over the last 17 years, I have produced several flyfishing guidebooks and river maps for different drainages throughout Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Wyoming.

I wrote the guidebooks and river maps specifically for fly fishermen. They give detailed information on local hatches, successful fly patterns, and tips and technique for particular streams, rivers and lakes. The guidebooks also contain detailed maps that highlight all of the public access points and give the various float trips for each section of river. You'll find books for the Durango area, the Eagle Valley (Vail area), The Roaring Fork Valley (Aspen Area including the Fryingpan River), The Gunnison/Crested Butte area, Summit County and the San Juan River in New Mexico. I have put together flyfishing Maps for the Green River (below Flaming Gorge in Utah), South Platte River, Roaring Fork and Fryingpan Rivers, Arkansas River, Provo River, Blue River, Eagle River, North Platte River, North Park, Colorado River, and the Gunnison and Lake Fork Rivers. The maps include local hatch charts, patterns to use, public access, floating information and more.
